Priscilla the Great: Too Little Too Late (Priscilla the Great #3)

Priscilla the Great: Too Little Too Late (Priscilla the Great #3) - Sybil Nelson More like a 3.5/5The biggest appeal of this series for me is the mix of fantasy and contemporary story lines in the books. I know I’ve said that before but I will keep repeating it. It works amazingly well for me. While I enjoyed this book, I didn’t love it as much as I loved the other books. After finishing the book and thinking about it, I’m pretty sure it’s because this book has a bigger focus on the superhero/fantasy elements than the other books. The story was pretty fun. You start to see the overall storyline coming through in this book. Colonel Selliwood is being the typical bad guy and wanting to take over the world. Now he’s managed to rework his specimens to do his bidding even though some of them are free of him. Once again Prissy gathers the gang to fight the bad guys and save the day. It’s simple but it works. The contemporary side of the story was still here but it wasn’t a huge focus in the story. Prissy is still not sure what to do about Kyle. She likes Marco but can’t really be with him. Her parents are taking some time apart. And worst of all….she got her first pimple! Eeek. I just wish the two parts of the story had been blended together a bit better.Priscilla is a great heroine. I love that even though she’s having guy problems and family problems, she keeps it together to try to solve the problem and save the day. Yes, she might break down and get upset but she does it in her “down” time. She tries not to let it distract her from what needs to be done. We need more heroines like that. The bottom line? A good installment!
