The Cheap Reader

For whatever reason, I don’t have a good relationship with Phillip Pullman. I somehow made my way through The Golden Compass. Attempted to read the second book like 3 different times and failed every time. Saw this at the library book sale and thought I’d give him another shot.I chose to read this because it was short and therefore should be a quick read. Wrong. I should have finished this up in a day or two. I worked on it for 4 days and I didn’t even make it halfway through.The story was incredibly boring and dry. I couldn’t get myself to read for very long. Absolutely nothing drew me into the story. I honestly didn’t find anything to like about the story. Sorry Mr. Pullman but you’re not my cup of tea. No hard feelings.
